Metal Heads With Broken Hearts is all about mellow tunes with elements of grunge and alternative pop. They released their first single, “Something’s Wrong”, in June 2012 in the US and recorded their debut album in Weed, California in July 2012. “Something’s Wrong” had high rotation on American radio stations and even reached number 11 on Philippine radio charts, without being released in the Philippines.
The album was recorded with help of the famous drummer Dave Elitch (the Mars Volta); and producer legends Sylvia Massy (Tool, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash) and Richard J Veltrop.
